Everything was wrapped in paper with "Especially for ..." (can't show you a pic because it was my Muggle name and I don't want to reveal it yet) and the Slytherin logo printed all over it and the content was lovely packaged and decorated too.
But have a look yourselves, what I found in there:
A sock knitting book, a beautiful set of stitch markers, lovely packaged set of dpns - they look like Knit Picks Harmony, but I'm not sure - a printed version of the "Durmstrang sock" pattern in a cover that closes with a magnet. Parts of the pic are blurred, because they show my Muggle name too
And have a look at those beautiful wrapped cans with Spotted Dick and English Custard - I don't have an idea what it is, but I'm curious to find it out. I love to get to know food from other parts of the world that I can't buy here.
And last, but not least, there were 3 beautiful looking bags filled with delicous candy, I already tried all 3 of them and can't name a favorite
Now I'm looking forward to the second package with my bag and yarn, but I'm sure it will be awesome too.

Hi Emma - the letter explaining the contents must be in the other box! Spotted Dick is an English pudding mentioned in the HP books (Ron tries to tempt Hermione with some when she won't eat because of the food being cooked through 'slave labour'). The custard is a traditional English sauce for puddings - pour it over the Spotted Dick before serving it. Both need heating - in a microwave is easiest (after removing from the tin!) on full power for 2 -4 minutes - we call it 'zapping'. Alternatively you can heat them in a pan on a cooker top. Avoid letting the custard boil, it is best just warmed through.
You are right about the needles - they are Knitpicks Harmony.
The sweets are all traditional English varieties that are also mentioned in the books, as referred to on the packets. Sherbet lemons are a favourite of Dumbledore (though I believe this was changed to 'lemon drops' in the version published in America), Hagrid makes Treacle Toffee (Harry's teeth get stuck together eating it!), and Hagrid had mint humbugs in his pockets when he first met Harry.
thanks for the explanation - as I have read all books except the last one in german, I did not know that it were all things from the books. Okay, I guessed about the sherbet lemons, but the rest was not clear.
