Bag finished and a little contest

I finally got the pattern for my bag ready, it will be published later today in my Etsy store. I really hope you like it, it was really fun to design and to knit.

But I promised you a little contest, where you would be able to get it for free, here are the details:

Post on your blog about a first thing in knitting, could be your first time doing a certain technique like lace or cables, or the first time designing your own, first time knitting socks... You get the idea? Then come back to my blog and leave a comment with a link to your blog post

And of course I want to see at least one pic of the item you are posting about. Deadline for this is Friday, May 30. 10 lucky people will get the pattern for free, if there are more then 10 participants, I will have my 3 year old son draw the winners out of a hat.

Have fun, I can't wait to see your posts...

Oh, and I'll tell you why I want you to post about a first time: This is the first time I combined such a lot of techniques in one project (lace, i-cord, 3-needle-bind-off etc).

Emma - your bag is stunning! I hope I win, but if not you can bet I will buy the pattern. I am seeing it in blue/green/purple homespun. Sigh.
Here is my first - what a nice idea and it was fun to think about the topic.

It is such a beautiful bag Yvonne - I love it! Thanbk you for sharing a picture of it with us. Great idea for the contest too - I shan't enter as I already have the pattern having proof-read it for you. You may, however, read all about my first felting project at my blog (www.otterlypotterly.blogspot.com) - it was my entry for the bag design competition!

Here's my story:

I learned Continental so I could do Fair Isle with a different color in each hand. SO fun - it totally knocked me out of my knitting doldrums. :)
Thanks for a fun contest!

This is my first ever for-sale pattern, my felted slip stitch tote. Ravelry made me do it. It's at: http://pdxknitterati.com/2008/03/19/the-first-one-is-the-most-exciting/

and I like it so much it's in my blog's custom header, too.

I love your bag; it's beautiful!
