Picture day

Here is a brand new pic of me, in my just finished alpaca/wool vest. I had planned it to be a long sleeved sweater, but as it would be way too warm in this yarn, I decided to make a vest instead.

Now I have some more of this nice, super soft yarn left and can probably make another vest with a more interesting pattern.

It has started

I am so excited, I got my swap pals today... I get to spoil Emma Wigworthy this time - that will be an opportunity to make up for the awesome package she made me a while ago. And my spoiler is Eugene Nigeno, I don't know him but look forward to hear from him. Both are Ravenclaws, so I get to knit with other colors this time.

And as a help for my spoiler, here is my questionnaire:

Potter Name: Emma Gorodoc

Rav ID: Selana

I am allergic to: I'm allergic to most commercially dyed wool, can't knit with them or it'll trigger my asthma... handdyed wool or other fibers commercially dyed are fine + I'm allergic to cats

Pets that I have: none

My favorite yarn: nothing special

If you are a Ravenclaw, do you prefer the film colors or the book colors? I'm no Ravenclaw

My favorite flavor: chocolate, fruit flavors

My favorite holiday: Christmas, as it is all about family for me

I would like to receive a: sock kit or dyeing kit

List your favorite brand of needles or hooks, including size and length: I love Knitpicks Harmony needles, for socks 2.5 mm - but I love to get to try other brands too

Is there a brand that you are dying to try?: nothing special

I've participated in HSKS: this is my fourth time

Do you have a birthday during this swap? If so which day? My birthday is in May, so not during the swap

HSKS 6

Another term at Hogwarts will start soon and I'm already excited. Can't wait to hear about my partner for the swap and if I'm not mistaken, we can make baby hats for SPEW again. All in all it sounds like fun so far, I'm waiting impatiently for more updates.

package sent

okay, most of the package anyway - I didn't want to wait until I got the bag done, so I sent the yarn and pattern and some goodies off this week. Hopefully, I can get the bag finished next week and send it with the rest of the goodies.

I am really sorry for being so slow this term, but life really got in the way. I hope despite the delay, I'm not too bad a swap pal and I'll try to make up for it by sending some extra goodies

slow progress

The bag is slowly making progress, it is just too hot lately to knit with thick wool. I think I will send my package next week and send the bag later as soon as it is done. Of course I will make sure that it arrives by the end of July, but I will not make it until July 11
